Smiley Cupcake

Sometimes you just need a really simple, easy project that's fun to put together and, doesn't take a whole lot of time. I'm Rachel Teufel, and in this lesson, I want to share with you just a fun way to make some smiley cupcakes and, it truly could be used for any occasion out there. So what I have in front of me is a 1A round tip with some yellow buttercream, and I have a number four tip with some black buttercream, and a piece of parchment paper, and of course, some mini cupcakes. And what we're gonna do is just draw some smiley faces. Now, if you're not good at freehanding things, you can certainly print off a few images and slide them right underneath your parchment paper and you're good to go.

I'm just gonna make some cute little smiley faces with the buttercream. Nothing too fancy, and I'm gonna space them out, so I've got plenty of room for my cupcakes. Make a pair of sunglasses and maybe a little winky, winky face. And then with our round, buttercream tip here, we're just gonna go ahead and pipe some buttercream right onto our mini cupcake. Let it spread out a little bit.

Just like that. And then we're gonna use our parchment paper as a way to flatten our cupcake and imprint the face at the same time. So nice and gently just press it down onto those little faces. And then you're gonna pop this in the freezer for just a couple of minutes until it's nice and firm, and then we'll reveal those cute little faces. All right, our cupcakes have been chilled, and now we can reveal those cute little faces just like that.

Our little winky guy, and of course, our sunglasses. So this is just a really easy way to not have to pipe perfectly on top of a cupcake. You can pipe, you can wipe it away if you mo- mess anything up, and you can start over if you need to, without ruining your final projects. So it's just a really easy buttercream transfer method, to make some smiley and adorable cupcakes. I hope you have fun making your own designs as well.
