Anita Algiene

Anita Algiene is currently the owner and head cake artist of the Midnight Sun Cakery, in Anchorage, Alaska. The bakery opened in 2012 and is the leading custom cake studio in Alaska. The Midnight Sun Cakery specializes in natural buttercream designed cakes and cupcakes. Anita has been working professionally as a cake artist since 1992. Before moving to Alaska, she worked in professional bakeries in Colorado, Idaho, South Dakota, and New Orleans. Anita, at age 24, was a lead wedding cake designer for Pastry Perfection in Boise, Idaho. In 2006, she earned her Master in Fine Arts in Theatrical Design from Tulane University. Most recently you can see Anita as one of the judges on the Food Network's third season of Buddy vs. Duff. Or you can see her sliding along the frozen arctic tundra enjoying her favorite hobby, kick sledding!

Colette Christian

Colette Christian began working in restaurants at age 14 and went on to graduate from the New England Culinary Institute. In 2004 she began teaching at Le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena, California, and now offers classes at the Art Institute of Hollywood, Sur La Table and the Great News Cooking School in San Diego. She has extensive training in baking and pastry and is a certified executive pastry chef as well as a certified executive chef through the American Culinary Federation.

Sidney Galpern

Sidney Galpern, a Certified Professional Chocolatier and award-winning Cake Designer, is the founder of Simi Cakes & Confections. As an FIPGC Accredited International Instructor and member of the International Cake Designers of Excellence Team, she has earned acclaim in the global pastry and chocolate community. Sidney, winner of the Food Network's Freak Show Cakes Flame Show, has also hosted online TV shows and received prestigious awards for her contributions to the industry. With over 15 years of experience, she teaches sugar and cake decorating worldwide, designs her own line of sugar art tools, and runs Simi Sugar Company in Melbourne, FL.

Maddie Gartmann

Maddie Gartmann, creator of Garty Goodies, is a self-taught cookie artist who turned her passion for creating edible art into a business. Her work is both whimsical and delicious, and she shares cookie making tips, tricks and tutorials through videos on Instagram and TikTok. When not decorating cookies, she can be found chasing after her two rambunctious toddlers, Lou and Georgie.

Jenny McCoy

Jenny McCoy is a pastry chef with more than 10 years' experience working in some of America's finest kitchens. She uses classic techniques to create inventive desserts, many of which are featured in her book, "Desserts for Every Season." Jenny's philosophy on baking is simple: By combining the best ingredients available and a personal creative touch, anyone can make refined recipes and original pastries with ease. A truly approachable expert, Jenny offers detailed lessons that are both inviting and inspiring.

Gemma Stafford

For a decade, Irish-born chef Gemma Stafford has been bringing her passion for teaching people to bake with confidence to her online baking show and brand, “Bigger Bolder Baking.” Gemma’s unique combination of expertise, bold recipes, and approachable techniques have led to appearances as a judge on Netflix’s “Nailed It!”, Food Network’s “Best Baker in America,” and Hulu’s “Baker’s Dozen.”

Elisa Strauss

Elisa Strauss founded Confetti Cakes in 2000. She is a graduate of Vassar College and The Institute of Culinary Education, where she received a degree in pastry and baking arts. Elisa also spent one semester studying at the Art Institute of Chicago. Prior to culinary school, she worked as a designer for Ralph Lauren. In fact, it was a cake she made for Ralph (in the shape of a Bugatti, his favorite sports car) and the heaps of praise it received from fashion industry notables that inspired her to bring her design talents to the kitchen full-time. Her creations have appeared on the Today show (one of her cakes was selected as the winner of the “Today Throws a Wedding” series), Sex and the City (she made Charlotte and Harry’s wedding cake during Season Six), The View and Martha. Elisa has also been featured on The View, and has appeared several times on the Food Network, including the “Extreme Cake Challenge” where she won the grand prize. Confetti Cakes has also been featured in InStyle, Martha Stewart Weddings, Marie Claire, Seventeen, Elle, Vogue, Modern Bride, New York magazine, BRIDES, Elegant Bride, The Knot and in 2008 was selected as one of America’s Top Ten Pastry Chef’s in Pastry Art and Design. Elisa’s first book, The Confetti Cakes Cookbook: Spectacular Cookies, Cakes and Cupcakes from New York City's Famed Bakery, was released in Spring 2007 and is in its seventh printing, and her second book entitled Confetti Cakes for Kids was released in the Fall of 2008. Along with Marvelous Molds she has created a line of fashion cake decorating products. She currently teaches private cake decorating lessons in her studio and teaches online classes at Craftsy.com.

Rachael Teufel

Rachael grew up baking in the kitchen with her Hungarian grandmother, but she didn't discover her passion for cake decorating until later in life while seeking a creative outlet from her day job. She always had artistic interests, so cake decorating seemed like the perfect activity after a long day working as a Physical Therapist. Rachael launched Intricate Icings Cake Design in 2006 and quickly became known for creating cakes that were both delicious and beautiful. She enjoys translating any type of inspiration into an original cake design striving to think outside the box, explore new techniques, challenge her design skills, and push the limits of creativity! Intricate Icings is best known for their bridal gown-inspired cakes and more recently, the Geode Cake trend which took hold quickly over a large geographic band making it one of the most recognizable design concepts in recent years. Rachael's work is now nationally recognized and can be seen on episodes of "Food Network Challenge" as a competitor as well as on Hulu’s "Baker’s Dozen" and Food Networks "Buddy VS Duff" as a Judge!

Anne Yorks

Anne Yorks left the "real world" in 2007 to be a stay-at-home mom and to pursue her dream of starting her own bakery. As a self-taught baker, she spent years decorating cookies and tweaking her recipes for loved ones' weddings, parties, baby showers and beyond. All that practice finally paid off when she opened the successful Flour Box Bakery in her hometown of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania.
